About the release
One of the most anticipated anime x sneaker crossovers of 2026 finally lands as Nike teams with One Piece for a three-model Air Max Plus pack, each shoe built around a legendary Devil Fruit from Eiichiro Oda's manga universe. The 'Gomu' (Monkey D. Luffy) leads in swirling purple, joined by the 'Ope' (Trafalgar D. Law) in deep magenta and the 'Mera' (Portgas D. Ace) in flame orange. Alongside the TNs comes a full Nike x One Piece apparel collection — tees, a jersey, and a Nike Fly cap — plus special co-branded packaging featuring Jolly Roger artwork on the box.
Rather than a straight graphic overlay, Nike has properly reworked the TN's uppers to match each theme. Sublimated swirl patterns across the Ope Ope directly reference the Devil Fruit's skin texture. Design and details
This is a masterclass in how to do an anime x sneaker collab properly. Rather than surface graphics slapped on a stock silhouette, Nike has reworked the Air Max Plus's upper materials, embossing, colour, and hardware for each Devil Fruit — giving each shoe its own visual DNA that references the manga source without turning into a costume piece.
'Gomu' Monkey D. Luffy — the swirling purple lead
The pack's headline pair. Named after the Gomu Gomu no Mi (Nika Fruit) — the Devil Fruit that lets Luffy transform into the sun god Nika, gaining the properties of rubber. The pair leans into Space Purple as the base with light purple embossed swirls running up and down the side panels, referencing the fruit's textured skin. Atomic Green Volt hits land on the tongue, laces, sockliner and midfoot shank plate. Gold hits on the Swoosh and shank add the treasure-worthy Pirate King touch. The pair ships in a fully co-branded box featuring the Jolly Roger logo, Gomu Gomu fruit graphic, themed Tuned Air paper, and a Nike-branded Jolly Roger card.
'Ope' Trafalgar D. Law — heart-shaped magenta
A tribute to the Surgeon of Death himself. Named after the Ope Ope no Mi — Law's space-manipulating Devil Fruit with the signature 'ROOM' ability. The upper runs a vibrant deep magenta / red mimicking the fruit's heart-shaped skin, with equally vibrant green on the tongue, laces, lining and Swoosh. Sublimated swirl patterns cover the upper as the defining visual characteristic. The Tuned Air badge on the heel gets a heart-shaped rework — one of the pair's most impressive design choices. Custom graphic insoles and tongue branding round it out. The sole unit continues the red aesthetic with crosshatch shading that mirrors the manga's own visual language. Genuinely a design highlight of the whole pack.
'Mera' Portgas D. Ace — flame orange energy
The most on-fire of the trio, quite literally. Named after Ace's Mera Mera no Mi — the flame-wielding Devil Fruit that gave him his signature abilities. The bold orange upper is decorated with embossed flame-like swirls that directly mirror the fruit's visual identity. Yellow accents on the Swoosh and shank plate ignite the look. Tuned Air units underfoot stay true to the TN silhouette's core tech. The most visually loud pair of the three and the most immediate call-out to any One Piece fan who clocks it on-foot.
