About the release
Nike and Zellerfeld are back with the next chapter of their 3D-printed runner. The Nike Air Max 1000.2 'Black Pink Spell' is the third colourway of the updated Air Max 1000.2 silhouette — following the all-Black and Black/Hyper Crimson pairs from May — and it lands with the same fully 3D-printed laceless build, just with a vibrant pop of Pink Spell on the heel Air unit. Style code JF3484-004.
The 1000.2 moniker means refined geometry and an updated outsole. Compared to the original Air Max 1000, the 1000.2 features a new lug design and subtle shape updates that improve print efficiency and on-foot fit, while keeping the soft Max Air-infused feel intact. The whole construction is printed in zellerFOAM® — a 100% recyclable, breathable, washable TPU developed by Zellerfeld. It's the kind of build that genuinely rewrites how a sneaker can be made.
The Zellerfeld EQL raffle opens today, 22 June 2026, and runs until 25 June. The wider Nike SNKRS launch lands on 25 June. UK retail is expected around £155.

Design and details
The Air Max 1000.2 is one of the more genuinely experimental releases in Nike's recent lineup. Unlike most 3D-printed shoes that come out of the wider industry, this one isn't just an aesthetic exercise — Zellerfeld has built a wearable, washable, recyclable construction that holds up to actual daily use. The 1000.2 update refines the previous build rather than reinventing it.
3D-printed upper
The entire upper is 3D-printed in zellerFOAM® — a TPU-based foam material developed by Zellerfeld. It's a single-piece construction with no traditional stitching, no separate panels and no laces. Wavy patterns and textured tooling across the upper mimic the original Air Max 1 mudguard, with continuous flowing lines that read as both heritage reference and futuristic build. The result is a sock-like, breathable fit that slips on instantly.
v2 outsole and geometry updates
The 1000.2 moniker signals refinement rather than redesign. The outsole carries a new lug pattern, with shape updates designed to improve print efficiency and faster manufacturing. Geometry tweaks across the silhouette also lead to a better on-foot fit. The Air feel and soft cushioning underfoot stay consistent with the original 1000.
Pink Spell Air unit
The all-black 3D-printed body is monochrome from toe to ankle, with the various textures separating what would otherwise read as panels on a traditional sneaker. The only colour break sits on the visible Air Max 1000.2-branded Air unit at the heel, finished in a vivid Pink Spell with white branding. It's a sharp, deliberate pop against the dark upper — and the cleanest way to break up the sculptural form without compromising it.

Nike x Zellerfeld and the 3D-printed sneaker story
Zellerfeld is a German 3D printing house founded in Hamburg. The company has spent the last several years pushing 3D-printed footwear from novelty toward genuinely usable product. Where most 3D-printed shoes from other brands struggle on fit, comfort or longevity, Zellerfeld's zellerFOAM® material has been developed specifically for daily wear — breathable, washable, odor resistant, and 100% recyclable at end of life.
The Nike collaboration takes one of sneaker culture's most iconic templates and remakes it as a fully digital, on-demand product. The original Air Max 1 from 1987 invented visible Air. The Air Max 1000 reinterpreted it as a sculptural, 3D-printed object. The 1000.2 builds on that with v2 improvements — better outsole, faster print times, refined geometry. Each release functions less like a fashion drop and more like a software update.
