About the release

The Mega Evolution series keeps building and Chaos Rising is the next chapter. The fourth English Mega Evolution set releases on 22 May 2026 and puts Mega Greninja ex front and centre, joined by a wave of Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolutions making their TCG debut. If you have been following the Mega Evolution era, this is the set where the Greninja line gets its moment.

The set is based closely on the Japanese Ninja Spinner expansion and clocks in at just over 120 cards. Like Phantasmal Flames and Perfect Order before it, this is a tighter set by modern standards, which keeps the hit pool focused and gives collectors a cleaner target to chase.

Chaos Rising is translated almost directly from Japan's Ninja Spinner set, which is why the card count sits at a tight 122. That is a small set by recent standards, but it means every slot in the checklist is doing work. There is no filler padding the numbers here.

The set introduces five new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and five standard Pokémon ex, with a solid illustration rare and special illustration rare count for collectors chasing artwork. Mega Pyroar ex, Mega Floette ex and Mega Dragalge ex all make their TCG debut here alongside Mega Greninja ex, with all of them pulling from the Pokémon Legends: Z-A universe.

Elite Trainer Box — £45

The standard ETB includes 9 booster packs and the Fennekin Illustration Rare promo without the stamp, plus the full accessories set. At £45 it is the cleanest entry point for most UK collectors and the best way to get packs alongside a promo without going full booster box.

Booster Bundle — £25

6 booster packs in compact packaging. A solid low-commitment option for casual openings or a first look at the set before committing to a bigger product.
